I have sung this dream for years 

Years are now days 

I’ll go from Pacific to Pacific to live, to learn 

Palau - the land of my mamang, of my birth 

I will let myself be vulnerable to the deep, blue, warmish waters

Woke to the true meaning of family and community

Embracing discomfort of others speaking, me not understanding

Straining to see as I consider an island lens on island time

Standing before the sea, knowing my other home is just across the water
